Mission: Lower Decks
Location: Sickbay/Fulvia's Quarters
Timeline: After “Lower Deckers”

For Fulvia Benvenuto, the night had been fantastic. She cleaned out a few other lower-deckers at cards but was fiercely challenged by some others. She drank and made merry. She reinforced friendships that had been developing over a few months now.

For T’Vel, the night had been…surprisingly pleasant. After being coerced into wearing this most unusual dress, followed by an initial gaffe, which appeared to have been mostly forgotten within a few minutes, she joined in properly with the group. She held her own at the card game, one which she knew required both probability and people-reading skills; she even manage to get a few credits off the mobster. She had made new friends.

Unfortunately, the one person who did not forget about her flub lived two doors down from her, so walked with her toward the crew quarters deck, and would not let up.

“C’mon, doll, spill!”

”Why? Why do you need to know?”

”It’s gotta be a great story! Besides, why keep it private?”

”Vulcans keep such things private,” T’Vel insisted.

“You blurted it out for everyone to hear within thirty seconds of us getting into that room, toots. Not exactly Vulcan-like.”

Her friend had a point. But still, she tried to defend it.

”…I was confused…”

”Uh-huh.”

”…She did not remember an encounter that I believed should have been most memorable…”

”Uh-huh.”

”…She may have been unwell…”

”Look, keep lying to yourself if you need to,” Fulvia said, “but I didn’t think Vulcans did that either.”

They stopped when they reached T’Vel’s door, but the door didn’t automatically open. How strange. The Vulcan raised an eyebrow and gestured to something on the floor. A sock. “Sharpe is untidy but not to this level. Or is this purposeful? If so, I do not understand the symbology of it.”

Fulvia grinned. “Atta girl, Sakura.” She gently took T’Vel by the arm and guided her away from the door, toward her own quarters. “It means Bradley’s getting laid. C’mon, Doll, you’re bunkin’ with me tonight.”

Before she could protest, they were inside the shared Benvenuto/Tanikawa room. It was the same layout as T’Vel’s own, with two beds along opposite walls and a small sitting area in the middle. There were fewer pieces of glassware in this one, T’Vel observed, but more paintings on the walls.

“Make yourself at home, doll,” Fulvia said. “I’ll replicate some tea, then you’re gonna spill.”

”You want me to…spill the tea?” T’Vel asked, puzzled, as she sat on the couch and slipped off her shoes.

”Well, not literally,” Fulvia said as she brought a pot and two cups to the coffee table and joined her guest on the couch. She slipped off her own shoes and then leaned forward to pour them each a cup. “It’s an expression I picked up somewhere. It means, talk to me. Share the story in all its details.” She handed a cup to T’Vel. “It’s a berry blend. No caffeine.”

”You really want to hear?” T’Vel asked, taking the cup and sipping. It was quite nice. A pleasant drink to end the night.

Fulvia grinned. “I’m all ears, Ears.”

**

T’Vel had arrived the week before in a runabout with a handful of other new arrivals. She had not appreciated the way her career had suddenly changed. She was meant to be on the fast-track to become someone’s Yeoman but found herself suddenly assigned to the far reaches of the Alpha Quadrant on a ship spoken of using terms like ‘outcast’ and ‘exile’.

It had not meant to go this way. But here she was. In exile, apparently. All for reorganizing the duty schedule. Why had her trainers not seen that she acted with initiative and logic. No, all they saw was the fact that she did not ask permission.

And how was she to know that it would cause pandemonium during the diplomatic signing? If you don’t inform junior personnel of what’s happening on the ship, then you can’t complain when logical edits to plans have unforeseen consequences. Her superior officer, disagreeing with that point when she made it, reassigned her to cargo bay duty on Chimera.

Well. Here she would make the best of her situation. She would be the best cargo bay specialist the ship had seen.

It had taken less than a week for Lieutenant T’Pinga to assign her to Commander Espersen’s remedial team.

The XO had given her a list of immediate tasks, one of which was to see Doctor Kellerman. She had somehow skipped her arrival exam and so completing it was one point in getting her back on track. Besides, maybe she had an issue that needed accommodating.

Kally was busy running diagnostics on a biobed. Low crew meant everyone pitched in a bit, and so long as things were running smoothly, all was well. She heard the doors to Sickbay open and turned, giving a professional smile. "Greetings," she said, seeing the attractive Vulcan. "I am Doctor Kellerman, you may call me Kally. How may I be of service?" She did a traditional Vulcan salute and met the other woman's gaze.

**

"She did NOT say that!" Fulvia said, smacking her friend on the arm.

"As you said, Vulcans do not lie," T'Vel replied. "I expect she was trying to make me...comfortable?"

"Heh. She sure as hell did that."

"Indeed."

**

T'Vel returned the salute, looking at Kally with dark, seductive eyes. "Greetings, Doctor," she said, her voice warm and inviting. "I am T'Vel, and I was instructed to present myself....for a belated medical exam."

Kally grinned and sauntered up to her. "It's been a while since a pretty Vulcan presented herself to me," she said. "Follow me, and we'll see how good of a shape you're in." She turned and led the way to an exam room, letting her hips sway teasingly. She caught the Vulcan woman's reflection and smiled as she saw T'vel's eyes following her hips.

**

"Yes, because of course, not even a Vulcan can resist you," Katie said, rolling her eyes as she stared at her twin across the bed. Katie had mentioned the case of mistaken identity in the lounge, giving Jadizon a good swat as he laughed about it. Now, Jadizon had showered and left for an early shift, leaving the girls alone to talk, and Kally was doing her best to explain. Well, maybe not her best.

"Did she immediately strip her clothes off on the way through Sickbay or did her faltering restraint last to the exam room?" Katie said, snarkily.

"Who's telling this story?" Kally said.

"Your libido," Katie said.

**

Kally let T'vel enter the room ahead of her and followed her in, sealing the door to ensure the patient's privacy. "You may disrobe and take a seat on the exam bed when you are ready," Kally said.

On another day, she might have raised an eyebrow about the suggestion, but not today. T'Vel knew that medical analysis needed to be thorough, and it was only logical to leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of good health. And so without hesitation she stripped completely, folding her clothes neatly in a pile on a chair as she did so, unconscious of the fact that she was facing away from Doctor Kellerman and bending low at the waist as she did so.

Once all was proper, she took a seat and composed herself. "I am ready, Doctor."

Kally watched with an eyebrow raised and gave a perfunctory smile. "Excellent. Please lie back and relax your body while I take some readings." She activated the biobed's scanners and also flipped open a tricorder for corroboration. "Your musculature is excellent," she said. "And quite an impressive cardiovascular system. Your stamina is, no doubt, superior." Her tricorder beeped. "Your pulse is elevated and your heart rate is slightly elevated. I apologize if I am having an arousing effect on you."

**

"Now I know you're lying," Katie said. "You'd never apologize for turning someone on."

"I have so!" Kally said, defensively. "I apologized to Peter Morozov."

"Because he was supposed to be entering the priesthood the next day and you nearly blew it!" Katie said.

"Well, not so much nearly," Kally said.

Katie sighed. "T'vel?"

Kally nodded. "Right, right."

**

T'Vel lay down and cocked her head at the suggestion of any arousal, but nor did she outright deny it. "It is...cooler than I am used to, Doctor," she said, letting a shiver make her move tantalizingly. A half-truth. "Surely you would have a similar reaction if suddenly requested to remove all of your clothing," Her heart rate increased again.

Kally smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Well, logically, there's only one way to know for sure," she said with a sultry tone in her voice. She quickly divested herself of her uniform, stripping down to her birthday suit. "I suppose it is a bit cool in here," she said. She put a hand on T'vel's thigh and felt her skin. "Then again, rather hot as well." She winked and walked over to the environmental controls, increasing the temperature a few degrees.

"There now," she said, walking back over and looking at the scans. "Anything else I can do to ease your tension?" She ran her fingers up along T'vel's thigh as the other woman looked at her invitingly.

**

"Wow, Angelface moves fast!" Fulvia observed. "Hey where ya goin'? Keep talkin'!"

"I am, I just wish to replicate nightwear if I am sleeping here," T'Vel said as she made her way to the replicator.

**

"Tension..." T'Vel repeated. "That is the right word. I have been, to borrow a human phrase, feeling tense lately. It is as if I am more sensitive to the emotional states of the crew. Their...arousals...seem contagious." Her hand gently grasped Kally's and slowly moved it further up her thigh. "I experienced this on my last assignment as well, but my doctor could not help. Perhaps you can..."

Kally raised an eyebrow. "I am somewhat well-versed in Vulcan sexuality," Kally said her hand moving of its own accord now, applying rhythmic pressure in strategic places. "Fortunately, I have had opportunity to practice. This condition is not uncommon when exposed to multiple emotional sources without proper mental shielding." Her other hand moved upwards, stimulating certain frontal nerve clusters as she observed the reaction. When it began to cause a look of intense concentration, she ceased. "I believe some physical therapy can assist you," she said. She walked over to a computer terminal and accessed the transporter system. "Please stand by," she said, disappearing.

“But…” T’Vel, shocked by the sudden stop, tiled her head, looking almost pleadingly for Kally, but the doctor was out of sight.

**

“Aww, yeah she’ll do that,” Fulvia said, nodding with understanding as she, her back turned to T'Vel, slipped into her Starfleet issue pyjamas. “She’s a tease, that one. That’s what you sleep in?”

T’Vel had also stripped down, her back facing her host, while recounting the tale, and finished putting a warm robe over her body. “I need the warmth. And it’s soft. Now, as I was saying.”

**

A minute later, Kally returned holding the handle to a somewhat large case. "I believe one of these devices will be satisfactory in assisting your recovery," she said, opening the case.

T’Vel’s attempts to restore her composure were faltering. “What…do you have?”

Kally pulled the first therapy massager out and hopped up onto the biobed, swinging her leg over T'vel's hips and straddling her. "Do not worry. We shall remain here and test as many as are required until you are completely healed, I give you my word," she said.

Guv!” T’Vel said as the massager made contact and brought stars to her eyes. “Yes…however many tests are necessary…”

**

"You must be thrilled," Katie teased. "Someone who is not only methodical about sex but willing to test all my inventions and has the stamina to actually survive the experience." She giggled.

Kally shrugged. "We had a good time, and I made a new friend."

"Well, that's what matters," Katie said, grinning. "Sakura, speaks highly of you when she's focused enough to remember to chat."

Kally grinned. "Haven't seen her in a while."

"Yeah she's taking up with this sweetie named Bradley, a super nice chemist," Katie said, then looked at Kally carefully. "Just a heads up? I don't believe a word of this," she grinned. "Going to see her again?'

Kally shrugged. "Going to have a girls' night next week maybe. You should come. Be good to have you meet all of them properly."

"Sure!" Katie said, grinning. "And next time Engineering has a poker night, you're definitely invited. We'll clean them out," she said, an evil gleam in her eyes.

Kally grinned. "Deal," she said, pulling Katie in for a kiss and hug.

**

"I'm guessing that was a long and thorough exam, huh?" Fulvia said, smirking.

"You have no idea," T'Vel said, a flush coming to her cheeks, her chest heaving as her breathing picked up.

"I have a bit of an idea," Fulvia remarked, thinking fondly to her many nights with the good doctor. "You doin' alright there doll?"

"I am...uncertain," T'Vel replied.

"You know what I think?" Fulvia asked. "I think the re-telling got you a bit hot under the collar."

The Vulcan cocked her head to the side.

"You know, feelin' fizzy. All revved up."

T'Vel only stared at her, not comprehending.

"God almighty, you're horny as all get out." Fulvia laughed and gave her friend a wry smile. "Need a helping hand there, Tee Vee?"

T'Vel needed no words. She simply dropped her robe to the floor and allowed Fulvia to lead her to bed.
