Mission: Pirates! (Or Yo Ho Ho And A Bottle Of Yum)
Bex leaned back agains the back of the bath tub, closing her eyes and enjoying the feel of the delicately scented bubbles bursting against her skin. Damien had taken a like to Nat, something that Bex wasn't entirely sure how she felt about it. Revenge was a powerful motivator, one that could easily lead to rash decisions and may put them all at risk. It may put her at risk. She'd worked hard to earn her place, not only by Damien's side, but in his bed. She'd earned the position as his favourite girl. It afforded her the lifestyle she lived and the luxury that surrounded her, not to mention the fact that it gave her Pearl, and Black Pearl was her most treasured possession.
She heard the bathroom doors open and opened one eye, looking up as Nat walked in. She offered a small smile and pulled herself up a little. "I was wondering if I'd see you tonight," she said softly.
"And miss bath night?" Nat padded barefoot across the room towards the tub, picking up a sponge from the broad rim that ram around the edge. "You know I love this." She gestured to the tub. "Want some help with your back?"
Pulling herself upright in the spacious tub, Bex slid forward, leaving a space behind her. "Join me?" she asked, pulling her hair forward over her other shoulder.
Nat shimmied out of her shorts, adding an extra wiggle to her hips as she did so. Her black top came up over her head, and the former Marine raised a leg, letting first one foot dip into the water, followed by the other. Letting herself settle, Nat moved up behind Bex, finding a comfortable position for her legs, as she began to lather the woman's shoulders in soap. "So how long have you been working for him?" It was a mixture of curiosity, and just wanting something to talk about.
"He bought my contract three years, seven months and eighteen days ago," Bex replied quietly. "Two years, ten months and four days since he made me his girl." She closed her eyes, savouring the feel of Nat's hands against her skin.
Nat used the sponge, wiping off the suds, and letting her fingers trail along behind, feeling the soft skin that was left. "Bought your contract?" She asked after a moment. "From whom?" It occurred to Nat that three and a half years ago, she'd have been just finishing the Academy. Her fingers stilled for a moment, but quickly continued their path across Bex's skin.
"I got kicked out of the Academy at the start of my third year," Bex spoke softly, choosing her words carefully. "I ended up taking a contract as a Dabo girl on Starliner, that's how I met him." She leaned back against Nat, still holding her hair to one side. She could feel the other woman's warm breath against her damp skin. She reached back with one hand, fingers winding in Nat's hair. "I was eight months into my contract when he bought me and I've been here ever since." A soft sigh escaped her lips as Nat's fingers followed her ribs forward, sliding downward to rest on her hip.
Nat let her hands explore as their bodies moved closer. "We would have been at the Academy at the same time." She concluded, from Bex's sharing of her past. "I wish we could have crossed paths." A soft kiss was placed on Bex's collar bone.
A small smile played on Bex's lips. "Probably for the best they didn't," she said with a slight laugh. "I wasn't a very good cadet, my talents clearly lay elsewhere."
Nat let out a tiny smirk as her fingers danced, played, and explored. "Talents I could have used. The Academy can be a very stressful environment."
"Well, perhaps..." Bex sighed appreciatively. "Did you ever hear the stories about Commodore Caravelli's prized bottle of Aldebaran whiskey? The one he was given by the President of the Federation?"
"Ha!" Nat couldn't help a shout escape from her lips. "Tell me you weren't the one to steal it." She was kind of impressed. The Commodore had been pitching a fit about it. "My darling Bex." Nat let the words whisper softly into the woman's ear. "I am rather impressed."
Bex smiled softly at the words. "Technically," she said quietly. "Technically the bottle was never 'stolen', Caravelli was always prone to exaggeration. The bottle never left his property. Though I did drink it, in his hot tub, with his daughter, and Commander Beelek, the hand to hand instructor in the Security faculty."
"I did wonder why the man looked so pleased with himself for a time." Nat had to stifle a laugh at the mental image. "He taught me everything about hand to hand combat." The Marine and Security cadets had often cross-trained with each other. "Never personally met the Commodore's daughter though. Was she the redhead? I saw her from a distance once or twice."
Bex grinned wickedly. "Ironically, he taught me all about using ones hands as well, but I think we had very different subject matter in our lessons. I think Beelek was removed shortly after I was kicked out. Fraternisation with students is frowned upon," she shook her head. "Caravelli's daughter, Letitia, yeah, she was the red head. She was in her final year, part of Nova Squadron. Last I heard she'd still graduated with honours and been offered a prestigious posting, naturally."
"Of course." Nat nuzzled into Bex's shoulder, nibbling softly. "Can't have the Commodore's daughter thrown out." While Starfleet tried to pride itself on one's capabilities over all, it more often was a case of who one knew. "Starfleet got the worse of the deal, if you ask me."
Standing up, Bex turned to face Nat, bubbles sliding down naked skin. "I can think of plenty better things to do than talk about Starfleet," she murmured softly before stepping gracefully out of the tub. "Come to think of it, I can think of plenty better things to do that don't involve talking at all."
Following Bex's lead, Nat rose as well, stepping out of the tub herself. "Mmmm." She almost purred. " I thought you'd never offer." She followed Bex into the woman's bedroom.
