Plotting Payback

Mission: Lower Decks
Location: Junior Officers Quarters
Timeline: The Morning After Recovery Time

Minerva was having her morning coffee when Jenna came to their quarters after being nurse maid for Rene his first night out of Sickbay. She ordered up a double sweet peach tea and followed Jenna into her room. "So Nurse Jade, how is your patient doing this morning?" There was a grin on her face as she watched Jenna lay out a uniform to dress into.

"As if Ah'm gonna tell you!" Jenna stuck her tongue out, then yawned hugely as the action got through her still semi-sleep-befuddled head, "He's complainin' a bit about havin' to follow me to Engineerin' for the day, but Ah've gotta get back to work and Ah've cleared it with his boss that he can be my note-taker while he's 'under my care'." She smiled sweetly as she shed her slept in pajamas and quickly tied her hair up temporarily while she began to re-dress.

She shimmied on her pants as she felt the smile from Minerva drive into her at an angle, then sighed, "Yes, Minerva, we slept together." Jenna rolled her eyes as she sealed the pants, then unsealed them because she still needed her tunic, "He was very sweet."

Minerva’s smile vanished as a look of shock took over her face. She could not believe it. Jenna, her best friend her whole life. The person who was like a sister to her, had finally taken the final plunge into womanhood. "Y...you did what?"

"Ah slept with him. In the same bed, under the same blanket." Jenna's smile was broad, then she couldn't keep it in any longer, "But it was just some snugglin', he's a gentleman, Minerva, not a man-whore like you tend to go with. Besides, he's not in any condition to do much of anythin' even if Ah wanted to. It was still really nice, though."

Minerva stared at Jenna for a ten count before a chuckle escaped her and she shook her head. "Jenna Jade, you got me. I'll give you that." She walked over to her friend and hugged Jenna. "I just want you to be happy, but my statement still stands. If he hurts you, I will make his life miserable."

Giggling, Jenna nodded, “Ah know, Sunshine, and Ah also know that he won’t hurt me. Not intentionally anyways, because while Ah’m pretty sure Ah’m in love with him, Ah know, know mind you, he’s in love with me.” She finally released the hug, “He made me promise not to let you or him pressure me into somethin’ before Ah feel Ah’m ready, and it was even his suggestion I pull the wool over your eyes! You should get him back for that one.” Jenna’s eyes glittered at the thought.

Minerva grew thoughtful for a moment. "Hmmm? What should I do to make your boyfriend squirm?" The guy was cute, but totally not her type. "You brought up the idea of messing with him. Got any suggestions?"

“Do Ah look like the type of girl who would plot against her own boyfriend?” Jenna dramatically flourished a hand to her chest with a grin, “Honestly Ah have no idea, but even if Ah did, a girls gotta keep somethin’ in reserve for her own uses, doesn’t she?”

Minerva stuck her tongue out at Jenna for not helping to plot her revenge on Rene. She also decided that revenge on him would not be enough. She was going to have to come up with something for Jenna to. "I don't know him well enough to figure out what would be appropriate, you...do."

“Ah can’t recall ever hearing the name Minerva Delacroix associated with the word ‘Appropriate.’” Jenna all but saw the intention in her best friends eye, “But perhaps there’s a first time for everything?” She winked at Minerva, “Ah’m not quite sure what would be the best revenge you may have, but it just needs to wait until he’s all better, give the poor man a fightin’ chance.”

Minerva shrugged as she considered Jenna's statement. "I would never kick a man while he was down." She gave a grin. "Not looking perhaps, but never when he was down."

"Tell you what." Jenna smiled as she straightened her uniform in the mirror, "Let me see what Ah can find out that can work on him that won't be too too bad, all right?"

"Works for me." Minerva gave a nod before turning to the door to the. "Catch you after watch. I need to get dressed myself and get to the Science Deck."

"Maybe, maybe not..." Jenna smiled slyly, "Ah've got Rene with me all day as my assistant, then Ah've got to get him back to bed to rest. Doctor Hiiragi would probably murder me if Ah kept him out all day."

Minerva smiled as she paused in the doorway. "Don't want to wear him out to much before getting him back into bed? I just have one more question. Who are you and what have you done with the real Jenna Jade." She smiled and winked at Jenna as she stepped out of the bedroom before Jenna could answer.

Jenna laughed as her door slid closed behind her and she looked back into the mirror one last time, "The real Jenna Jade." She said quietly, "The new and improved one, Ah think."
