Speed in a Direction

Mission:
Die Hard: Chimera Edition
Location: Holodeck
Kally whistled to herself as she walked down the corridor to Cally's quarters. She rang the chime and waited, leaning against the door frame in what she hoped was a tempting pose.
The door slid open about twenty seconds later and she was greeted by Calypso tugging on the bottom of the shirt she was putting on and stopped at the sight of Kally standing in the door frame and a smile popped onto her face. "Why hello there, what did I do to get a greeting like this?"
Kally grinned. "It's what you're going to do that earned it," Kally said, standing on her tiptoes and kissing Cally. "I have the holodeck for a bit. Thought we could have some fun."
Cally wrapped her arms around the smaller blonde and spun her around once, "Oh really? You know I'm always interested in fun!"
"I have a little game ready. If you're up for it," she said, grinning.
"A game? Hide and seek?" Cally gave her a gentle nudge. "You go hide somewhere, I find you and winner gets the prize?"
"Tempting. Maybe later," Kally said. "For now, we have an appointment at holodeck three." She grinned. "Don't bother dressing up, we'll get changed there."
"We'll get changed there." Cally repeated what Kally said, "Should I even put on shoes before we get there?"
Kally shrugged. "You don't even need to put on pants, if you don't want to," Kally said, grinning. "So if you're good as is, we can just go."
Cally glanced down as if she’d forgotten to put anything on down there, then exhaled in relief as she saw the tight shorts she was wearing. “I suppose my crew can see me like this.” She grinned, “Not as if a fair number haven’t seen me without them.”
"There ya go," Kally said as Cally joined her walking down the corridor. "I always assumed uniforms on the bridge were just a formality to keep up appearances." She grinned.
“Well, I’m sure that if I dispensed with wearing a uniform on the uniform, it would be good for morale…” She assumed a thinking posture, “But it would certainly make for some awkward comm calls, even if people are used to seeing orgies going on in the background.”
They walked to the holodeck and Kally keyed in her lock code. "After you," she said.
This time, Cally gave Kally a rather suspicious look, considering if there were either a surprise party or something nefarious at play, well, anything nefarious would be in good fun, so no worries really on that, “Why thank you, I think I will.”
They walked inside and the room was empty, save for a bench at the far end containing some folded clothes and two phaser pistols. Kally immediately began removing her uniform as she walked over to the bench. "All right, skin to the wind! Clothes off, jumpsuit on," she said.
Now something tingled in the back of Cally’s brain and she locked in the ‘nefarious’ option as a definite. Nonetheless, she took off the shirt she’d pulled on only a few minutes prior, having faith in her girlfriend completely, “I know what this looks like, but let’s pretend I don’t know why we’re doing this?”
"Well, you and I are going to play a game of Velocity," Kally said. "See if I can pick up any cool badassery tricks from you." She sat down and began putting on the jumpsuit.
Shorts off, Cally raised an eyebrow, “Since when does Velocity require stripping to put on something like this?” She stood there for a moment before shrugging and picking up the jumpsuit. “Yes, professional players wear them, but that’s because their versions of the game is a bit more… Intense than what is usually played by amateurs.”
"Maybe I'm going for authenticity," Kally said in a teasing voice. "Or maybe I just wanted to see you strip down again." She blew her a kiss. "Or, maybe it's because we're intense, and I'm an amateur." She zipped up her jumpsuit and stretched a bit, getting a feel for it. "That, or maybe I've got something in mind." She picked up her phaser pistol and stood at the center of the room, smiling.
“But I am an amateur at this game!” Calypso complained in an over-exaggerated whimsy tone of voice as she settled the jumpsuit into the most comfortable position as possible, stretching to get a good feel. She then picked up the phaser pistol, hand fitting around it like it was an old friend, before spinning it on the palm of her hand, then hooking the triggerguard and twirling it on a finger and letting the grip settle back again as if ready to fire, wide grin on her face. “Did it ever fit into your plans, the fact that I was part of the sniper team when I was still a ground pounder?”
"Mm hm," Kally said, grinning. "You're a sharp shooter, I'm a dancer. You can attack, I can avoid. We'll each have a strength." She hit the seal on her jumpsuit, covering up whatever view Cally still had. The jumpsuits were almost patchwork-looking, with every limb and main part of the body lined and sectioned into different patches of material. It was form-fitting, but allowed movement, and she walked around the holodeck in her bare feet, doing an experimental twirl. "Ready?" she said, turning back to Cally.
Cally looked at her and hit the seal on her own jumpsuit, the suit going to nearly skintight as she grinned, “So, what’s the catch? Why these particular outfits?” She set her feet in more of a tennis stance, pistol in both hands.
"'Cause any part of the suit hit by the disk will disappear," Kally said, grinning. "Computer! Begin game!" The disk appeared and Kally, having been ready for it, fired, turning it red and sending it flying towards Cally.
Spinning to face Kally, Cally stretched one hand out, "Wait... What? The suit will.." The disk hit Cally on the forearm that was outstretched and the fabric vanished as the disk rebounded and her eyes widened, then narrowed, "Oh... It's on." She aimed her pistol up from under the arm and shot it, turning it blue and sending it towards Kally, then started moving back a couple steps.
Kally ran forward, then dove and did a somersault, gliding under the disc, before coming back onto her feet. She turned and fired again, but missed. The disc arced and came back at her. She turned and bent backward, and it just missed her, but she stood up and fired again as it slowed to change direction, and it turned red and shot off again.
Where it was instantly shot again as the muzzle of the pistol Cally held as she stood in a slightly combat crouch in both hand, the blue contacts she wore sparkling in the light of the holodeck and the second shot she sent out after the disk automatically. None of this silly diving and ducking until it was absolutely necessary.
Kally twirled and dropped backwards, rolling backwards, dodging the disk repeatedly as she made her way along the floor towards Cally. She dropped down as the disk came at her and shot upwards at it, turning it red just as it moved in front of Cally and struck her shoulder, taking another patch of jumpsuit away. "Two down," Kally said, grinning. The disk automatically turned blue and went after Kally again, but she had rolled back to her feet and aimed carefully, hitting it and ducking as it turned red again and moved past her.
Cally shot her a dirty look as she resigned herself to having to work harder at this than she'd planned, sliding out of the way of the disk before backing up towards Kally, then making a shoulder roll off to the side as it sped up to come back at her again. She took a shot that flew past the disk, closer to Kally and wiggled her eyebrows before letting the disk approach at an angle to her and taking a shot that changed it's direction towards the other blonde.
Kally dropped to the ground, dodging the disk and swinging her legs up over her, preparing to flip back when the disk hit her thigh, removing part of the upper leg of her jumpsuit. She let out a curse and continued to swing around back to her feet as it flew back to Cally.
Cally ducked to the side as the disk came back at her, then stepped back with her weapon up and aimed as her body was between the disk and Kally. She took her shot and hit the disk as the momentum changed, but started to backpedal as she continued to shoot above and below, "Oh shit..." Then tripped herself up and fell heavily to the ground just short of her girlfriend.
"You okay?" Kally said, concerned as she moved to check on Cally, the disk hitting her side, taking a chunk out of her top. She sighed and stood up as the disk turned red and dove at Cally.
Cally responded by rolling to the side as the disk hit the ground where she was and kept rolling over and over until she hit the wall and squeezed off a quick shot at the disk before it hit her leg and turned blue again as she grimaced. "Almost got away with it!"
Kally watched it and aimed her pistol, firing, missing, and diving out of the way. The disk missed and she sprang up, but it course-corrected and hit her in the rear, exposing it as she shouted in frustration, firing at it, and, perversely, hitting it, turning it back to blue, causing it to fly back at her and hit her in the shoulder. She watched her carefully-crafted plan to out-dodge Cally start to fall apart, much like her jumpsuit, as she hefted her pistol and tried to regroup.
Calypso snickered at Kally's antics as she took careful aim at the disk, since she had distance at this point and shot it once, turning it blue, then waiting a heartbeat before shooting it again and back to red as she side-stepped rapidly and shooting it once more to send it back at Kally from another angle.
Kally hadn't been ready for the double change and found her other flank suddenly exposed. She fired off a shot at the disk as it banked around, then threw herself at Cally, doing a barrel roll over her.
Cally had to hit the deck as Kally flew over her, which left her wide open and the disk hit her between the shoulder blades while she tried to get back up and she felt air hitting her back as it bounced off of her and back in Kally's direction.
"You know," Kally said, rolling onto her back and firing straight up at the disk, turning it back to red, "I'm doing way better than I thought I would be by this point. I figured I'd already be half naked." She snickered and rolled back to her feet.
“Just you wait.” Cally shot the disk immediately, starting to move backwards to make sure Kally couldn’t use her for cover. The instant the doctor shot the disk, Cally shot it again, then as she saw Kally tightening on the trigger, committing to the shot, she fired once more, turning it blue right before zKally’s shot turned it red once more.
Kally let out a shriek of surprise as the disk shot straight at her, hitting her in the sternum. She lost half her top, looking like she was wearing wonder-woman's knockoffs. She focused and kept her eye on the disk, not her girlfriend, going back to her original strategy of twirling and twisting. Once she got her confidence back, she got better and dodging again, missing several direct shots at her, and sending the disk spinning back.
Another fifteen minutes elapsed and both women had lost their sleeves. Kally had one bare leg to go with her bare backside, and Cally looked more like she was wearing a bikini with leggings. Kally shot the disk again and moved backwards, trying to keep it turning so it wasn't just bouncing between them. "You could always surrender," she teased.
"Me? Surrender?" Cally kept to the outside as well, unaccustomed to how this was going and shivered from the ambient temperature, "The same goes for you, ya' know." She dodged the oncoming disk, shooting it as it went past before scampering away from it.
"But where's the fun in that?" Kally said, firing off a lucky shot and sending it back to Cally. "Besides, then we don't get the fun of seeing who winds up naked first." She giggled happily and rolled to the floor, spinning around on her knee as the disk sailed past her again, firing again and once more sending it to Cally.
"I do not," Cally threw herself into a roll to dodge the disk once more, then came up shooting, "like losing!" she finished emphatically. "Not one little bit!"
Kally used to think the saying 'opposites attract' was true, but she couldn't help but love how much she and Cally had in common, including their need for victory. For Kally it usually involved stupid bets and challenges of stamina, but this worked too. Her dance routine continued, twirling around the grid, dodging the disk as she would wait for her shot back, only to have Cally send it flying back to her soon after. Both took their fair share of shots, and finally it was down to one piece of uniform each.
They'd been circling each other, eyes on the disk, phaser pistols at the ready. The disk flew at Kally and she dodged, running straight at Cally once again. Unfortunately, Cally only wearing one shin guard distracted her and she forgot to dodge in time, plowing into her. As they hit the floor, Kally landed on her and felt her top disappear as the last piece of her cover disappeared. "Goddamnit," she said.
"Winner, red," the computer said as the disk vanished.
"Congrats," Kally said, breathing hard and grinned. "Wanna go again?"
Cally openly ogled her naked girlfriend and glanced down at the only piece that covered her own self and just how close she came to losing. One wrist came up to wipe her forehead from the slight sheen of sweat that she knew covered much of her body and grinned back.
"Game on."
Kally sat up and waved her hands. "Oh no no no. I was in no way serious. Computer, end program." Given their lack of uniform, the only change was Cally's one remaining piece of coverall disappearing. Kally leaned back down and kissed her girlfriend and said. "How about something involving warm water and pulsing jets? That way, we both win, without you absolutely destroying me the second round."
"Thank the Four!" Cally grabbed Kally and stood up quickly, hugging her and spinning her once, "You probably would have won that second round, but a hot tub just sounds much better!"
Damn, I could've won, Kally thought but let out a breath and looked up. "Computer, access program Kellerman-HS-Three. Set in the northern mountain range, sized for two."
The setting changed to a snowy mountain landscape, with a hot spring built into the rock appearing in front of them, water churning. The temperature had also dropped significantly and Kally jumped in quickly. "You may want to hurry!" she said as she moved.
The suddenness of the scenery change caught Cally off-guard and she just stood there dumbfoundedly as the snow surrounded her feet and the temperature change took it's effect. With a long-sounding sigh, she didn't rush towards the water, only walking the handful of steps before gingerly stepping into the smallish tub and the new temperature differential and straight into Kally's open arms.
