Glitches

Mission: The Boneyard Heist
Location: Various throughout the ship

SOCIAL SCIENCES LIBRARY
Minerva was reviewing a historical record regarding the mutable culture of the Iotions. A fascinating race that had modeled their culture on Earth's North American Continent of the early 20th century gangster of that era over the course of a hundred year span. She had been comparing it to a recent survey report that showed the culture as committed to the ideals of Starfleet despite their lack of warp capability.

She advanced to the next page of report on her PADD and noticed the text was now in a language she was mildly familiar with but had nothing to do with the Iotians. Instead it seemed to be a fictional account of a young man preparing to fight one of three opponents in a duel with swords.

HYDRA LOUNGE
Anara was setting up a prearranged musical program for the evenings entertainment when everything changed to orchestral productions she was unfamiliar with. She attempted to recover the musical files, but more strange names for music kept being added to her cue.
A quick inquiry showed all the musical numbers were from Earth's 17th Century.

BRIDGE
Sam was at the Tactical Two station conducting training with a Gunner's Mate Third Class when the screen blanked out for a moment and was replaced with images of archaic clad men fighting with musket and swords.

FIRING RANGE
Lee was conducting small arms qualifications when the holographic Borg targets shimmered and became humans clad in some archaic dress with tabards over their outfits.

JUNCTION 34A DECK 3
Laura 'flipped' the page in her novel and took a sip from her water bottle 'enhanced' with some special drink. Her romance novel suddenly took a dramatic plot twist, instead bringing in a horse chase down the streets of Paris.

READY ROOM
Calypso sighed as she stared at the paperwork in front of her. That was something no one had told her she'd have, more paperwork than she could shake a fist at. She turned briefly and tapped her wall replicator into action for a hot coffee and a danish. She quirked an eyebrow as a glass of red wine appeared with slices of baguette and some rough butter appeared instead.

SICKBAY
Syrial hummed as they scrolled through a document on their PADD; the doctor had seen a certain antifungal recommended in a paper and was looking up what the dosages for it might be. As the doctor scrolled through the PADD, they found that the modern medical references and diagrams were replaced with... something about leeches. "Huh," the J'naii chuckled, assuming they accidentally flipped into the wrong book. They kept reading it anyway, realizing enough from context that this was an ancient human remedy. "Humans are weird," the doctor muttered to themselves with a smile.

BRIDGE
The Operations Specialist Second Class sitting to the left of the helm station glanced over her shoulder. "Master Chief. You might want to look at this." Sam turned to look at the main viewer. He saw what looked like Ensign Rouen driving a horse drawn carriage and the quiet young woman from the briefing a few days ago crawling onto one of the horses. He tapped his commbadge. "Captain Skyie to the bridge...right away please."

Cally made her way out of her ready room and onto the bridge, "What's going on, Sam? I just replicated a glass of wine and what looked like a baguette when I wanted coffee, so I'm running low on caff-eine..." Her eyes went to the main viewer and an eyebrow raised, "Are we watching a movie on the bridge, or is this related?"

The young woman at the Operations station looked at her console. "Captain, I am getting reports of a number of malfunctions in secondary systems throughout the ship. Replicators not dispensing requested items. Just wine, cheese wheels and bread. Transporters are all off-line. Library computer interface suddenly not showing requested text."

Calypso gave him a confused look, then shook her head, "That's a systemwide problem, but what could cause it?" Her eyes went back up to the pair on the screen, now hiding in a church? It was most definitely Jenna and Rene and appeared to be in realtime, because the young engineer in well... That was a nice, if somewhat antiquated outfit. She reached over to her chair console, "Davenport, are you seeing what we are?"

From her little cubbyhole, Laura jerked and hit her head on the bulkhead. She had to think for a moment to come up with... Something, "I'm in Junction 34A trying to diagnose a connection issue?" She said in a querulous voice, "Something's causing a signal delay in subspace comms from the main array. Why, what's going on?"

"Get up to the bridge. Transporters are out and something's in the system. Skyie clear." Cally tapped the comm again as she glanced back up at the main screen and again activated the comm, "Skyie to Jade. Come in Jenna." There was no response. She tried again to the same result. She looked to Sam, "Master Chief, I need a team to whatever holodeck they're in. Try to get the door open, I don't think that's a game in there."
