Mission: Lower Decks
Location: Starbase 614
Timeline: Prior to Chimera Leaving For Dexic

She was behind the bar counting down the minutes when he walked in. Another glance at the clock and the girl, she couldn't have been more than the age of 21 and cute as a button. At least that's what all of her customers had told her ever since she started working at various establishments when she was 14. She moved over to her coworker for the day, "I'm gonna take off a bit early, Clarissa, can I grab some snacks and a couple beers?"

Clarissa, herself only a few years older than the girl smiled down, "Your ship came in?" In this case, it might have meant any of several things, a good looking guy, a 'Penguin' (Someone obviously rich) or in Michelle's case, the literal ship she'd submitted a work application to. An eye to the uniformed man that came in and it just made the potential options down to two. "Go for it, Shelly, it's been a pleasure working with you and I'll see you around, right?"

"If the Chimera comes in port, you know I'll check in with you." Michelle said brightly, giving the other woman a hug, "Thanks for everything."

The young woman, shorter than the average, took her ID badge off as she grabbed a sampler tray of appetizers and snagged two bottles by the necks and sauntered out from behind the bar and to where the Starfleet officer had just sat down and was looking around, "Hey there, cutie, can I interest you in a drink and a snack? You look kinda new around here."

Tyler looked around and saw a very attractive young woman holding a tray of snacks and two beverages. "I'd enjoy that and your company" he flirted a bit "but I've never been called a cutie" a smile flashed across his face.

“I doubt that very much.” Michelle laughed softly as she slid the platter between them, along with one of the cold beers, her smile one that could win awards if there were awards for such. The outfit she wore was a short dress that ruffled around the tops of her knees in a scarlet that was to die for. Low cut in front, a golden necklace with what appeared to be a three cornered Celtic knot in three different metals nested into her visible cleavage. Her dark blue eyes seemed to have stars in them as she twisted the top off her bottle and she grabbed an onion ring from the platter and she nipped off one edge of it, “Definitely new around here, though.” She remarked, “I’m sure I’d have recognized you if you’d been around a while.”

"Definitely new around here" Tyler repeated back to her with a smile on his face. He took the beer and held it up to give her a cheers "here's to cuties" he was flirting more then he should.

“To cuties!” She clinked her bottle to his and took a swig, then placed it back on the table she she leaned forward on her elbows, “So what brings you to Six-Fourteen, Lieutenant Commander?” She read his rank, noting the red uniform. Either a decent sized ship if he weren’t in command or something, so pretty important.

"I'm Tyler by the way" he extended his right hand to shake hers which was just a thing he was used to doing when he met new people.

“Michelle.” She smiled at him with a flutter of her eyelashes as she gripped his hand without doing the shaking, there were protocols to everything.

"It's a pleasure" Tyler wore a flirty smile on his face.

An Andorian lurched in and started babbling at Michelle in Andorii, not taking the palm held vertical that was supposed to indicate 'don't bother me', and Michelle responded with a three word phrase that he responded with another babble. Michelle stood and smiled sweetly at Tyler, "I'm sorry, I'll be back in just one minute..."

Tyler took something from the tray of goodies the young woman brought with her. "This is pretty good" he said out loud and took another bite of some type of cheese and taking a drink from his beer.

“I’ll be right back.” Through the smile on her face, Michelle could be seen to be annoyed by the interruption.

Michelle grabbed the Andorian by the arm and led him off a few paces, "I'm occupied at the moment." She hissed at him, making sure her back was to Tyler so he wouldn't see the annoyance on her face, left leg forward slightly, hiding her right hand from the Andorian's view, "Besides, I don't work here anymore."

The Andorian's antennae twitched, and he pointed at her necklace, the motion hidden from the Starfleet officer by Michelle's body. A question in Andorii.

"I'm with someone." Michelle said firmly, "Look, do I need to get Management involved?" She made a gesture with her left hand towards Clarissa, while her right dipped under the hem of her skirt and palmed something. She surreptitiously turned the cylinder so that a small camera faced the Andorian and pressed a button. Then her finger changed to another part of the cylinder, which was in view of Tyler. "No, better yet," Her voice raised slightly, "If you don't leave me alone, I'm going to Report you." The word report being emphasized, loud enough for Tyler to hear clearly.

Tyler turned to look and see what the commotion was about, his beer still pressed to his lips and started to get up and head over.

That finally got the desired effect from the Andorian, who raised both hands halfway and took a step back as he babbled an apology in Andorii and beat a hasty retreat. Michelle watched him go and sighed heavily, reaching back under her skirt to replace the cylinder and then put her smile back on and turned back to the Fleet officer as she slid back into the seat, "I'm so sorry about that, Tyler, I used to work here until well... You walked in." She giggled as if the Andorian had never been there, "I'm actually taking another job that will get me out into the great big universe. I'm rather excited about it."

"What's the job?" he asked finishing off his beer and sitting the bottle down on the bar top, his attention on Michelle.

“Assistant ‘tender on a starship, it should be here soon.” She smiled dreamily, “I’ll get to go new places, see née things, get more experience maybe even set up my own place at some point. I think it’s what my mother had wanted to do after dad died before I was even born, but I held her up from it. So here I am now.”

"What's the name of the ship?" he asked raising his eyebrows and quickly added, “We just docked.” he blinked a few times and saw someone coming over toward them.

Clarissa sauntered over to the two of them with a tray that held some more snacks more beers and a couple glasses with a blue liquid in them, "I've got a couple Druran Ales for the two of you, compliments of your blue friend over there." She gestured over to the familiar Andorian, who waved at them slightly, "By way of apology, apparently." She bent over to place one in front of each of them, the new snacks on the table, a necklace dangling from her neck, a complicated Celtic knot with five corners, each in a different metal and color, "I didn't add the Druran, but charged him for it anyways." She winked at Tyler.

Michelle grew serious for a moment as she picked up the blue drink, "Clarissa, I want him Reported. Tonight." She gestured to Tyler's drink, "We need to salute him to thank him and drink them, Andorians get a bit... Annoyed when these sorts of gestures are ignored." She gave the Andorian a smile and raised her glass before draining it. “Mmm, cinnamon? Nice addition, Clarry.”

Tyler offered a nod and raised his glass to the Andorian "friend or foe?" he asked taking a drink of the blue liquid and smiled at the Andorian, before turning around. "Whats Druran?" he asked never having the pleasure of much company with an Andorian.

"Him? Not a friend. The Druran is a poisonous creature on Andoria, the venom from which is sometimes added to Andorian Ale to give Andorian warriors the 'danger' of the drink. You actually need a license to make the drink, because if it's improperly mixed, it can actually kill you." Michelle explained.

"Shelly here and I are both licensed, but I just didn't want to put anything like that in the drink of someone who isn't aware of it." Clarissa smiled, "And do you want him kicked out, Shelly? I'll do it if you want."

"Nope, just report him." It was the best revenge Michelle could make for the disruption. Clarissa collected the other glass from Tyler and sauntered off. "You don't want to know what the venom would do if it was improperly mixed, trust me." She returned her eyes to Tyler's, "So, you were saying, before we were interrupted?"

"Oh yeah" he smiled taking a bite of one of the snacks that had been delivered. "You were telling me how you got the spot on a ship." Tyler smiled at the beautiful young woman.

Automatically Michelle popped the tops off the new beers and took a drink just to get the taste of the ale that she didn’t particularly like, “Yeah, I actually started off a few years back dirtside on the planet in-system and managed to upgrade to out here. So a ship was the next logical place if I didn’t want to get stuck on here forever. I might even find relatives out there in the beyond, who knows.”

"That's one of the great things about space" he took a chug of the beer "who knows?” he said sitting it on the bar and looking into her eyes.

Automatically, without thinking about it, Michelle’s hand slid under the table and she ran the bottom of her bottle across the table as she injected herself with a hypo spray, the sound covering the muted hiss and then she took another drink. The AlchoDote always made her mouth feel like a desert, “What’s your ship going out to do?” She asked, opening her empathic sense to get a bit more about him, make sure he wouldn’t be a danger if… When she got him back to her quarters, Starfleet officers were usually nicer people overall and he really was a cutie.

Tyler had drank most of his second beer. "That's complicated." was the answer he gave when he didn't want to answer that sort of question.

The hesitation was apparent even as she could almost feel the reasoning behind it and she laughed melodically, "Of course it is, Starfleet is always complicated. How about this... What's the name of your ship? What class is it?" Her eyes were bright and interested, no haze of alcohol, even as Clarissa swung by with a couple shots of what Michelle figured was from the bottle hidden under the bar as well as a couple glasses of water, another beer for Tyler and a motherly look at Michelle.

"USS Chimera." he took a swig of his new beer "Luna class." Tyler made eye contact again. Tyler figured she was gonna be going out on one of the larger ships he saw in dock.

"Chimera?" Michelle confirmed with a smile, choosing not to tell him that she was going to be there as well, "The Luna-class is a pretty nice ship, I hear." She took a sip of the whiskey, yup the bottle from under the bar, "What's your crew like? I'm guessing you're the commanding officer?" She reached across the table with a hand for his.

Sitting down the glass "Wow that's stout" he said taking her hand and smiling at her "The crew are pretty" he paused for a moment "They are green". Tyler took a sip of beer to chase his chug of whiskey. A little buzzed the flirting went on "You are really beautiful."

"Thank you, hun," Michelle acknowledged the compliment, "But you were saying that your crew is green? That's pretty odd for a whole crew, isn't it? Are they all Orions or something?" She was starting to grow concerned, he was definitely drinking more than her and... Did he not bring an alcohol antidote? She thought all Fleeties were supposed to have one on them or something like that.

"No" he said with a smile picking up and kissing her hand. "They are a little rough around the edges" Tyler shrugged and finished off the whiskey. He was drunk "I thin" he mumbled and tried to stand up, but only hit the floor.

Michelle was slightly flabbergasted by the suddenness of his blacking out. Did he not know this could be bad?" She gave an apologetic smile to everyone around her, ignoring the Andorian that suddenly looked interested, then waved to one of the guys standing by the door, "Hey, Barron, can I get your help?" She stood on her toes to give the bouncer a kiss on the cheek as he got over there, "Can you get him to my quarters? He seems a good sort and I don't want anything to happen to him. I'll keep an eye on him overnight, just... Put him in the bed and I'll take it from there."

"Sure, Shelly," The deep, deep voice of the man said, "We're sure gonna miss you, you take care now, all right?"

"Will do, thanks again." Michelle began to clear the table, "Oh my... And he's going where I'm going." She smiled brightly, "Well, best a night to remember."
