Mission:
The Dexic Negotiations
Location: Dexic
Xevar laughed at the camera transmitting his image to the Chimera in orbit, "Thirty days, Commander. Travel well and far." He made a gesture to his camera operator and waited until the green light went red before continuing his laugh and looking over towards the operator and raising his hands in victory. "The revolution has begun!" He cried out, eliciting a cheer from the eleven others that were in the small building already.
He barely cast a glance at the prisoners as he reveled in the adulation of his underlings, decades of work, of planning finally bearing fruit. The Corporations were an evil that could not be allowed to stand and there were no limits to what he would be willing to do, whom to sacrifice in order to accomplish his goal: A united Dexic. A strong Dexic.
An Independent Dexic.
"Torlic, where is that damned Aneset coordinator? I haven't seen him since before our martyrs left for their glorious mission!" The Dexician known as Torlic just shook his head, "Go find him. If he resists, kill him and make it into an 'accident' that we can tell his people about. Most of their leadership are too weak to stand alone, but there are some that will be welcome to stand with us."
Torlic nodded, "I won't fail you, Leader Xevar." And he was out the back door in a flash, pulling on a civilian style jacket that was appropriate for a merchant.
Xevar gestured the other around him, watching the screen as the Federation starship in orbit wheeled around slowly and moved away from the planet, shortly after extending into the ether in the stretched simalcrum of warp travel. "The fools." He said with joy, "They think we're going to just give them back their officers?"
His hands raised again, he took two steps towards the hostages in their cage and laughed again, "We need just twenty days to enact our plan. Before their deadline is over, we will be in control of the world, the Corporations will be abolished and broken up and there will be nothing an outsider can do. Then Starfleet becomes a liability to us."
He closed in on the hostages, ignoring anything they may say or do, "Oh, you'll be going back to the Federation, in bodybags. If your Captain has to come back to fetch you, I've no doubt that there would be a problem, but examples can be made. And examples will be made. You see, Dexic is neutral. We had no desire to be a part of any war, which is why we are declaring ourselves a true neutral."
He turned back towards his people, "From the time we take the palaces, we shall no longer abide by the rules of the OTHER star nations! We shall invite all peoples, the Federation, Klingons, Ferengi, Romulans, even the Breen to gather here in peace!"
"IN PEACE!" His people echoed him.
"Send messages to our other cell leaders, tell them that the time has come! In seven days, we will all act in concert and take our place at the head of Dexician society. A TRUE government of the people, to keep ALL of Dexic safe. Dexic Freedom Forever!"
"DEXIC FREEDOM FOREVER!" They all echoed.
"Begin to pack, we move tomorrow to our new location." His eyes returned briefly returned to Mark and the hostages, "We'll even take them with us, for now. They may still be useful."
