Personal History | Born and raised in Homeworth, Ohio, a town of less than 500 people, Henry was a medium fish in a small pond. After the death of his mother, Henry's father struggled to raise him and his two siblings. His father's lessons of "good behavior and following the rules" stuck with Henry especially, who viewed it as doing his part to keep the family together and functioning without their mother. He became a model student and "Good Citizen of Homeworth," although he developed a reputation as a goody-two-shoes and someone who'd tell on other kids, making it hard to make friends with the 'cool troublemakers'. Having been exposed to the medical field early from his mother's illness, he gravitated towards helping people. H graduated from nursing school in the top 10% of his class. However, as with his time in grammar school, his attitude in nursing school was a prelude of what was to come. His essays were exacting and his practical exams took forever as he went over every rule and step meticulously and demanded a retake if he missed anything. His brief time on the USS Nebraska was filled with several arguments between him and his commanding officer. While they technically couldn't discipline him for following rules and attempting to enforce them, they also couldn't make him understand that his adherence to the rules was stalling his efficacy. He was transferred to the Chimera for the good of the Nebraska. |
