Land Of The Gods

USS Chimera diverts to a planet that is emanating advanced technological emissions. Upon arrival and planetfall, they encounter a planet of aliens that have stagnated and are dying off. These former galactic adventurers have been out to much of the galaxy and have 'retired' to their homeworld for their waning millennia. In their natural form, they appear to be floating jellyfish of various colors, however their psionic abilities give them the ability to appear to people as mythical people and creatures from their past. But how?

Further questioning and investigation of these aliens reveal that they have appeared on most of the worlds they've adventured to as their gods and goddesses, guiding the people there as these all-powerful figures before leaving the worlds. There are some still out there, but in the end, they all return home.
