| General Overview | Tessa may only be 16 years old, but she's far more grown up than most boys and girls her age due to growing up on Tial, where the age of majority is 14 and responsibility comes much earlier in many cases. The daughter and heir of a Baronness, she has dealt with diplomats and other important people. | Personal History | Tessa was born to the Baroness of Lights End nearly one year to the day after the death of her grandmother Teler'e'Metel, the Light of the Eastern Watch. With her father being the new Light, there would have been much ado about this one with the expectation that she follow him and her grandmother into the service of Bey'a'Dande, but her mother, having also spurned that path, didn't force the growing Tessa into it, instead letting her choose a path that she desired more. The little princess was accompanied everywhere by her bodyguard, Cass'e'Indira, and when she turned twelve, finally chose the path she desired to take, that of Urd'a'Neta, the Healer. Starting her more specialized studies at the age of 12, she took the vows of a Priestess First Class at the age of fourteen upon being able to identify the major systems and such of Tialan anatomy along with some minor healing techniques. Despite being one of Urd'a'Neta's followers, she was still the daughter of a Baroness and had been trained from the age of 8 in the use of some weapons, including bows and swords, but chose a staff as her personal preference, Cass'e'Indira acting as her Master at Arms in addition to her guard. Gaining her Second Class accession early after she turned 16, she was chosen by her mother and the Council as part of one team to go out towards some nearby star systems to begin to learn more about their surroundings. While Tial had developed warp drive technology after over a century of orbital and system exploration, technology not being utilizable on the surface of Tial, they had yet to begin much in the way of extra-system exploration. This was meant to be a year-long voyage of exploration before the ship called B'lora was to return, however several weeks int the expedition, the ship was intercepted and attacked by forces unknown (the Hesteri) and all but Cass'e'Indira and Tessa killed resisting the attack. Taken by the Hesteri to the Free World of Trarim and sold into Indentured Servitude, Cass'e'Indira went into the gladiatorial arena to work off their debts until they were aided by USS Chimera and taken off the world. |
