Something More

Mission:
Lower Decks
Location: Raven's quarters
Rave flittered about her quarters, straightening pillows here, laying a blanket on the floor there, anything to keep her mind occupied until Jadizon arrived.
Jadizon stepped into Raven's quarters, the soft hiss of the door shutting behind him. His eyes moved across the room, taking in the small adjustments she'd made—the neatly arranged pillows, the blanket laid out on the floor. He raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"You've been busy," he remarked, his voice low and smooth, carrying that casual confidence he always had. He didn’t rush toward her, just stood there for a moment, letting the silence stretch as his gaze flickered back to her.
"Yep...just little things here and there," Electric tingles raced across Raven's skin as he entered.
He crossed the room slowly, his steps measured, but didn’t immediately close the distance between them. "Plasma injectors are all sorted," he said with a slight shrug, brushing off the earlier task like it was nothing. His eyes locked on hers, a smirk playing on his lips. "Now, what’s this all about?"
Jadizon’s tone was calm, but the way he looked at her said more than his words. He was willing to engage, but he was letting her take the lead, curious to see what she had planned after all the effort she'd put in.
"Wwell...I was hoping we could...try again?" Raven gulped a little, but was excited to see where the night would lead them.
Jadizon closed the remaining distance between them, his expression serious, no trace of the playful smirk from earlier. His eyes held hers, steady and direct, making it clear he wasn’t dancing around the point.
"Raven," he began, his voice low and calm, but without any hint of softness, "I don’t want there to be any confusion. Tonight’s going to be intense, but after this, it’s business as usual. No complications, no drama."
He paused for a moment, letting the weight of his words settle, his gaze never wavering. "In front of the crew, we’re professionals. Whatever happens here tonight stays between us. No one else needs to know, and we keep things strictly work-related out there."
He brushed his hand against her waist, his touch firm, his expression still unreadable, but his message was clear. "If you’re good with that....." He looked towards the bedroom door
Raven's breath hitched, but she understood what was at stake. Just like in a race: if she allowed her emotions to take control, it could be game over.
His voice stayed steady, direct. He wasn’t being cruel—just honest. He waited for her response, his demeanor unshaken, not offering false promises or emotional entanglements, just laying everything out for her to decide.
"I can play by those rules," Raven smiled softly.
Jadizon’s gaze stayed locked on Raven, reading her reaction as she smiled softly, accepting his terms. He took a breath, stepping closer, his tone soft but firm—honest, but without the edge of arrogance.
"Alright," he started, his voice calm but direct. "But before we go any further, you should know something."
He paused, his eyes steady, offering truth rather than bravado. "I’m not the kind of guy to make promises I can’t keep. Right now, tonight, you’ve got my attention. But there are others on this ship... people I’ve been with, people who might be interested. I can’t guarantee it’ll always just be you."
[That makes sense...he's hot and strong, and honest...who wouldn't want him?] Raven thought, taking a breath to calm the butterflies, which for some reason seemed excited by the thought of multiple partners.
He wasn’t trying to be harsh, just laying things out as clearly as possible. His hand gently brushed her arm as he continued, his voice softening slightly. "That said, right now, in this moment, it’s you and me. No one else. You don’t have to worry about anything else tonight."
He leaned in a little, his breath close to her ear as he finished, "I just want to make sure you’re okay with that—no games, no false expectations."
Jadizon stepped back slightly, letting his words hang in the air, waiting for her response. His gaze was steady, open, leaving the choice in her hands. He wasn’t playing her, just being clear about who he was and how things stood. It was all about the here and now, nothing more, nothing less.
"I'm actually strangely excited by the prospect of more than one partner," Raven smiled stepping back into Jadizon’s space.
"Shall we?" Raven invited, placing her hand on Jadizon's chest as her voice suddenly dropped to a sultry purr.
adizon's expression shifted slightly, a hint of intrigue passing over his features as Raven stepped closer, her hand resting on his chest. He held her gaze, the weight of her words hanging in the air between them. His demeanor remained steady, confident, and thoughtful.
A small, knowing smile appeared at the corner of his lips. "Raven," he said softly, his tone balanced and calm. "Lead The Way."
"We can pick up where we left off out here, then go in my bedroom. Do you want to take my cloths off first, or do you want me to take off yours?" Raven asked after she'd pulled Jadizon down onto the blanket.
Raven's body was starting to get hot.
Jadizon let out a low breath, his expression remaining calm but undeniably intrigued as Raven guided him down onto the blanket. His eyes stayed locked on hers, letting her set the pace, the corners of his mouth curving into the faintest smirk.
"You seem to have a plan already," he said smoothly, his voice steady but with a hint of teasing edge. He leaned back slightly, propping himself up on one arm, watching her intently, his presence unshaken. "So, I’ll let you make the first move."
His tone carried the same confidence he always exuded, but there was a subtle challenge in his gaze—a silent invitation for her to take control and show exactly what she wanted. He wasn’t going to take the lead this time, but he wasn’t resisting, either. It was her moment, and he was willing to see where she’d take it.
Raven took a breath, and started untucking/unbuttoning Jadizon’s shirt, letting her hands linger inside his pants for a few extra moments before fully removing the shirt, then procedrd to unbuttoned Jadizon’s pants, pausing for a heartbeat before pulling both them and his briefs down.
A fire lit in Raven's stomach as she laid eyes on Jadizon for the first time.
"Yyour turn. Ddon't go easy on me," Raven's breath hitched, and the heat inside of her grew in intensity.
Jadizon’s gaze held Raven’s as her breath hitched, her words both a challenge and an invitation. His hands moved to her waist, steady and deliberate, and he leaned in slightly, his voice low and calm. "I won’t," he murmured, the promise hanging in the air between them.
As the tension thickened, his movements remained slow and purposeful, peeling away the final layers between them. The heat in the room rose with every touch and glance, a silent intensity filling the space. No further words were needed as they allowed the moment to consume them.
Hours Later
The soft glow of the ship’s lighting cast a faint warmth in the room as Jadizon stirred, lying on his back, his breathing steady. He turned his head slightly, glancing at Raven beside him. She was still asleep, her features relaxed and peaceful, a stark contrast to the fiery energy from earlier.
With a quiet exhale, Jadizon sat up, running a hand over his face before swinging his legs over the side of the bed. He stood and stretched, his toned frame catching the light as he moved toward the replicator. The hum of the ship’s systems provided a comforting background noise as he requested a glass of water.
Turning back to the bed, he looked at Raven for a moment, a faint, unreadable smirk tugging at his lips. Grabbing a nearby towel, he tossed it over his shoulder and headed toward the small sonic shower to freshen up. It was time to move forward, leaving the intensity of the previous hours as a memory between them.
Raven woke slowly, her muscles sweetly sore from the nights activity. Jadzion hadn't been kidding about the intensity...Raven'd not had that kind of heart racing action since they'd had to fly away from the planet sized eggs!
Raven's ear twitched as the sonic shower turned on, and her body got hot all over again.
[No, Raven. It's business as usual now,] Raven thought, chuckling softly at how fast she could get turned on.
Raven stood and wrapped a red silk kimono with black dragons around herself and walked to the sink outside the shower, where she splashed water on her face before fixing her hair.
Jadizon stepped out of the sonic shower moments later, a towel slung low around his waist, his damp hair neatly slicked back. His sharp blue eyes caught sight of Raven by the sink, her red silk kimono catching the soft light, the black dragons embroidered across it giving her an almost regal air.
"You're up," he remarked, his tone calm and composed, though there was a subtle edge of amusement as his gaze lingered on her. He grabbed a second towel, rubbing it over his shoulders as he crossed the room, his movements deliberate, controlled. "How are you feeling? Still in one piece after last night?" he added, his smirk faint but unmistakable.
"Sore, slightly tired, but other than that, I feel pretty good!" Raven giggled, blushing as she gathered her uniform and a set of necessities.
Raven looked up to Jadizon, running her hand down his jawbone. Jadizon caught her wrist gently, holding it in place for a moment as his blue eyes met hers. His expression softened, the intensity in his gaze tempered by a flicker of care. "Raven," he said quietly, his voice steady but calm, "last night... it was incredible, but we both knew the deal going in."
He stepped back slightly, releasing her hand, and moved to the chair where his clothing was neatly folded. He began dressing, slipping on dark slacks and pulling a simple, fitted shirt over his broad frame, the practiced movements of someone used to preparing quickly. As he adjusted the cuffs and slid his combadge into place, his tone took on a compassionate yet resolute edge. "You’ve got a ship to fly, and I’ve got a crew to look after. That’s how this works. Out there, it’s duty first. Always."
Jadizon turned back toward her, now fully dressed, his sharp appearance a striking contrast to the casual intimacy of moments before. His eyes softened slightly as he looked at her. "That doesn’t mean I don’t care," he added, his voice quieter now, "but we both have responsibilities. And the crew needs us at our best—focused."
He paused at the door as it slid open with a soft hiss, glancing back at her one last time. His gaze lingered, a small but sincere flicker of warmth in his otherwise composed demeanor. "You good, Raven? Make sure you take a minute for yourself before you head to the bridge. That ship’s not going to fly itself."
"Guess you just bring out the teaser in me. As always, at our best and ready to impress!" Raven nodded to Jadizon, a soft smirk on her lips.
With a slight nod, Jadizon adjusted the hem of his shirt, squared his shoulders, and stepped out into the corridor, his stride measured and confident as the door quietly closed behind him.
"Good thing I've got time to take a shower, he's so Hot!" Raven chuckled as she went into the sonic shower, cleaned up, put on a clean uniform, and headed to the Turbolift, all business...but with a soft smirk on her face that left when she got to the Bridge, where business as usual was about to commence! (Or was it???)
