Gonna kick your...maybe

Mission: Lower Decks
Location: Holodeck

Raven stretched as she waited for SCPO Jadizon Enor in the Holodeck. Raven had heard he studied Krav Maga, and Raven'd always wanted to learn it.

USS Chimera - Holodeck - Gym Scenario

Senior Chief Petty Officer Jadizon Enor strode into the ship's Holodeck that was portraying a gym, his eyes immediately scanning the room. Lieutenant Windancer was already there, diligently stretching her form in front of the mirrored wall.

"Lieutenant Windancer," Enor called out, his voice a blend of authority and warmth. She turned and acknowledged him with a nod, a determined glint in her eyes.

"Good," Enor said, stepping onto the mat. "Today, we'll be focusing on Krav Maga. It's more than just a fighting style—it's about discipline, focus, and readiness for any situation."

He moved to the center of the mat and demonstrated the proper fighting stance. "Feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, hands up to protect your face. Stay balanced and ready to move at all times."

Raven nodded, taking up a position that she felt was what was wanted.

Enor walked around, making slight adjustments as needed. "Perfect. Now, Krav Maga is not just about defense. It's about quick and decisive offense. Let’s start with some basic strikes."

He demonstrated a series of punches and kicks, each movement precise and powerful. Enor's military acumen and combat skills were evident in his teaching, as he patiently corrected technique and encouraged pushing limits.

Raven was impressed, the guy was good at what he did, and not to bad on the eyes either. Raven felt muscles she'd not worked in awhile joining in the exercises, telling her Krav Maga was more intence than she'd realized...which suited her just fine!

"Remember, it's not about brute strength," he advised. "It's about efficiency and using your opponent's weaknesses against them."

"And WHAT might your weakness be?" Raven quiped, trying to catch Enor with one of the moves.

Enor's charismatic personality shone through. He shared stories of past missions, illustrating how Krav Maga had been crucial in real-world situations. His anecdotes aimed to boost morale and foster a sense of camaraderie.

Raven was having a good time, her 'I wanna learn' pushing her to throw everything she had into the endevore, and Raven found herself starting to share a bit about times in the racing circute that would have been bad had she not learned some 'School of Hard Knocks' lessons along the way.

As the training session unfolded, Enor effortlessly parried Raven's eager attacks, showcasing his expertise in Krav Maga. He replied to her question about his weakness with a thoughtful tone, "Complacency. It’s a challenge we all face, especially when we think we've mastered all there is. It can sneak up quietly, so we must remain vigilant."

Taking a brief pause, Enor leaned on the training mats, his voice filled with warmth as he shared a tale from a past mission where his martial arts skills had proved critical. "It's about more than just combat," he explained. "It’s about awareness, knowing when to make your move and when to wait."

Their session continued with a lively exchange of stories, each narrative deepening their mutual respect and camaraderie. The room was filled with the sounds of laughter and the soft thud of practice pads, the air rich with the spirit of shared experiences and learning.

Raven was getting destracted by little tingls flittering over her skin whenever the two touched, making it hard to keep her focuse of the task at hand.

During their sparring session, Enor noticed an opening as Raven overcommitted to a forward strike, her enthusiasm momentarily outpacing her technique. Seizing the opportunity, Enor executed a controlled but assertive maneuver. He stepped to the side, gently caught her extended arm, and used her momentum to guide her into a safe, controlled takedown. His movements were fluid and precise, ensuring her safety while demonstrating the effectiveness of a well-timed counter.

As they reached the mat, Enor maintained a firm but gentle grip, helping to cushion Raven's landing. "Like that," he said with a supportive smile, helping her back to her feet. "It’s all about using the opponent's energy against them, not just brute strength." He offered his hand, pulling her up with ease. "Ready to try it again?" he asked, his tone encouraging as he prepared to guide her through the technique step by step.

"Ddeffinitly!" Raven panted, not from exaustion, but she was feeling quite warm after that encounter, which was both puzzling...and energizing.

Enor took a step back, preparing for the demonstration. "Alright, Raven, let's walk through the takedown maneuver," he instructed, his voice steady and encouraging. "First, I'll come towards you, simulating an aggressive move."

He assumed a mock aggressive stance, raising his arms slightly. "As I approach, I want you to step to the side, use your hands to deflect my forward motion, and then lower your center of gravity."

Raven did as instructed.

He demonstrated the move slowly for her. "Your right hand will deflect my arm, while your left hand guides my momentum. As you do this, pivot your hips and bring your left leg behind mine. This will help disrupt my balance."

Raven's heart rate went up another three rungs, but she fought to keep it out of her motions.

Enor continued, "Once you've got me off balance, use your momentum and leverage to execute the takedown. Remember, don't rely on brute strength—focus on technique and positioning."

He made a slight forward motion, ready to engage. "Alright, give it a try. I'm ready when you are," he said, bracing himself for the move, yet fully prepared to assist if needed.

Raven advanced, determined to do the move properly, but willing to try again if she misstepped...that weird feeling didn't wanna go away!

Enor hit the mat with a solid thud as Raven executed the Krav Maga takedown maneuver, pinning him effectively. He looked up at her, slightly winded but impressed by her execution. Her positioning was spot on, and she had him securely pinned.

A small, approving smile played on his lips as he met her determined gaze. "Well done, Raven," he said, his voice steady. "You've got the basics down."

[Dang, he's even hotter up close!] Raven thought as butterflies fluttered in her stomach.

He gently tapped her arm in a 'tap out' signal,

Raven blinked, lingering for a moment more, then moved off of him, her skin tingling and her face flushed from more than the exercise.

[Whoa...what the heck's going on with me?] Raven thought, panting slightly as she tried to get the flush to go away!

Jadizon, sensing a hint of her flustered emotions through his Betazoid abilities, smiled slightly. "Everything alright, Raven?" he inquired, his tone gentle yet curious.

"Zeso...I mean nes...er...[come on, Raven! But he's so HOT!] Um...ddinner? [Oh come ON FULL SENTENCES RAVEN!]" Raven felt completely off kilter!

Jadizon raised an eyebrow, mimicking a Vulcan's inquisitive gesture, and looked at Raven with calm curiosity. "Could you repeat that, Raven?" he asked, his tone measured. But before she could try again, he held up a hand, silencing her for a moment.

"Let me clarify—are you asking me to dinner?" he inquired, his eyes narrowing slightly in thought as his eyebrow arched. The expression conveyed both interest and intrigue. "If so, then let's get the details straight. Dinner—where, when, what time, and what’s on the menu?"

He continued to study her reaction, his gaze steady, clearly waiting for her response with a mixture of patience and expectation.

"Yyes. The Holodeck can recreate the Skyfall Lounge for tomorrow night at twenty hundred hours, but I've not been there since I was twelve, so I'm not sure?" Raven stuttered, blushing profusely.

Jadizon's expression softened as he noticed Raven's blush and the uncertainty in her voice. The arch of his eyebrow relaxed, and a small, reassuring smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "The Skyfall Lounge, tomorrow night at twenty hundred hours," he repeated, his tone calm and steady. "Sounds like a good choice."

He paused briefly, then added, "Don’t worry about the details. The holodeck can fill in the gaps, and we can explore the menu together. What matters is the company, not the specifics."

He gave her a reassuring nod, hoping to ease her nerves. "I'll be there, Raven. Looking forward to it."

"Mme too. Honest!" Raven grinned excitedly, eager for not only a revisit to an old haunt, but the new memories she was hopeing to add to her collection...and perhaps even something more?

He took a step back, signaling the end of their sparring session. "Let’s call it a day here. We’ve covered a lot, and you did well." He gave her a nod of approval. "Rest up, and we’ll pick this up another time."

Turning toward the exit, he paused briefly. "See you tomorrow night," he said with a final, confident glance, then made his way out of the holodeck, leaving the space and the anticipation of their upcoming dinner behind.

[Whoa...that was just...whoa!] Raven panted in her mind as she closed up the Holodeck.
